DILIGINE ALPAS Receives ODVA DOC for EtherNet/IP™, Strengthening Open Industrial Communication

Release Time:2026-07-17 Page Views:46次 Source:Diligine

DILIGINE is pleased to announce that ALPAS has received an ODVA Declaration of Conformity (DOC) for EtherNet/IP™. According to the DOC, ALPAS supports the EtherNet/IP™ network and the Communications Adapter CIP Device Profile.

This milestone reflects DILIGINE’s continued commitment to open industrial communication, standards-based connectivity, and reliable system integration for manufacturing and precision manufacturing applications.

In modern manufacturing, communication is no longer just a device feature. It is part of the foundation for scalable automation, data-connected production, and efficient project delivery. As production systems become more modular, intelligent, and software-driven, manufacturers increasingly need devices that can communicate consistently across controllers, machines, and industrial platforms. Open communication standards such as EtherNet/IP™ play an important role in enabling this interoperability.

ALPAS is DILIGINE’s advanced process diagnosis and quality inspection system for laser processing applications. It is designed for online inspection, process monitoring, and defect diagnosis in precision manufacturing scenarios such as laser welding. The ALPAS product family includes the WDD Laser Welding Defect Detector, the LFS Laser Focus Measurement System, the LPM Laser Power Monitoring System, and other inspection and monitoring products.

Built on multi-optical sensing, embedded hardware architecture, and configurable software, ALPAS captures key process signals including laser reflection, metal vapor/plasma emissions, and molten pool thermal radiation. Through in-house detection algorithms and process expertise, ALPAS helps manufacturers in new energy batteries, automotive components, 3C precision manufacturing, and consumer electronics improve process stability, quality traceability, and automation integration.

Conformance testing is more than a technical checkpoint. It helps verify that a product follows defined communication behaviors and can be integrated with greater confidence in real-world industrial automation environments. For manufacturers and system integrators, this supports smoother equipment selection, more standardized communication, and clearer compatibility expectations during project delivery.

Beyond protocol conformance, the value of EtherNet/IP™ lies in how easily process data can be used in real automation projects. For ALPAS inspection products, DILIGINE provides packaged FB (Function Block) modules that encapsulate product communication logic into PLC-ready standard modules. This allows PLC engineers and system integrators to connect with ALPAS more efficiently, without writing complex communication code from scratch or spending excessive time on variable mapping and interface debugging.

For DILIGINE, obtaining the ODVA DOC is not the endpoint, but an important step in building open communication capability and standardized interfaces. By combining EtherNet/IP™ communication with FB module support, ALPAS helps customers reduce engineering workload, improve integration clarity, and gain a more reliable compliance basis for equipment selection, system integration, and project delivery.

DILIGINE will continue to enhance ALPAS connectivity and integration capabilities, making laser process inspection easier to deploy, easier to connect, and easier to scale across modern manufacturing environments.
