Acquires optical coherence signals
for real-time measurement of laser welding penetration depth.
The Welding Depth Monitor (WDM) is a real-time inspection system for laser welding. It utilizes the distance-measuring capability of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) during the laser welding process. By comparing the measurement signal from the workpiece with a reference signal, it acquires molten pool depth information, which is then extracted and analyzed for depth determination.
